Neighborhood Awards

Aycock Property Improvment Award

By Laura Wall

Despite economic hard times, some nice improvements are happening in the Aycock Historic District.  We want to recognize those efforts by restarting the Aycock Property Improvement Award.

The awards are based on exterior improvements, visible form the street, that aesthetically enhance a property while following Historic District Guidelines.  Both homes and businesses are eligible.

Recipients of the award will receive a gift certificate to a home improvement store and the Project Improvement Award yard sign.  Your home will also be posted on our neighborhood's website.

If you would like to make a nomination, please e-mail Laura Wall at laura@historicaycock.org by the 15th of each month.  SELF-NOMINATIONS are encouraged.  Awards will be given periodically throughout the year for exceptional projects.
